The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Pasig (PLP, University of the City of Pasig) is a state university run by the Pasig City, local government in the Philippines. Conceived by former Mayor Vicente C. Eusebio, PLP is envisioned to be a state university that is committed to excellence in college education. With the approval and subsequent implementation of the Local Government Code (R.A.7160), Mayor Eusebio steered the Pasig City Council towards the approval of Sangguniang Panglunsod Ordinance No. 11, series of 1999 – the charter that established the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Pasig signed on March 15, 1999.

On March 9, 2000, the Commission on Higher Education granted authority to PLP to offer tertiary courses within its mandate. The PLP officially opened on June 14, 2000 with six (6) initial degree courses initially with Bachelor in Secondary Education, Bachelor of Elementary Education, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management and Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. New courses were added such as Bachelor of Science in Electronics & Communications Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2001 and 2002, respectively.

Mission

To make available to all Pasigueños relevant community-oriented university education purposely designed to equip then with the competencies needed to become responsible, productive, caring, patriotic, disciplined, God-loving and globally-competitive professionals who willingly share responsibility in uplifting the quality of life of the people in the community.

    hey guys! don’t quarrel about that.Lahat ng schools isa lang and objective.and for sure maganda ang hangarin ng bawat isa.Now kung hindi mameet ng standard mo and school na nilalait mo,better keep it to yourself.ang sabi nga,kung wala kang masasabing maganda,keep your mouth shut!that would be the best thing that you can do.and how dare you to say it’s a rotten school?haiiizzzttt too bad….don’t be too jugdemental.do not judge a book through its cover.that might contains educational stuffs and brings you success face to face.And do not brag your money!it could be all yours,that’s the devil anyway!I’m planning to study there nga pala.But ask ko lang kelan enrollment for caregiver jan.Hindi ko kasi tinapos yung nursing q sa AMA.due to hectic sched.working student kasi ako but I was a scholar there.sana matapos ko na ang studies ko sa PLP.coz it would be an honor if it will happen.
